How to setup a site domain

Your Online Identity: A Guide to Setting Up the Site Domain

What is a domain? Do I need it?

Think of a domain as your website's address on the internet. It's like the street address of your house but for your website. When someone wants to visit your website, they type in your domain in their web browser, just like you'd tell a friend to come to your house by providing your home address. So, having a domain makes it easy for people to find and visit your website on the vast internet highway! We automatically generate a site address URL (subdomain) for your site, which you can use as an alternative to having your own domain. However, it's worth noting that these subdomains tend to be lengthy and challenging to remember. For an enhanced user experience, we highly recommend using your own domain. This way, your audience can easily find your business online, ensuring a smooth and memorable browsing experience.

Accessing your site domain setup

To configure your site domain, begin by logging into your site admin panel. Next, click the hamburger icon located at the top left of your screen to reveal the site admin menu. From this menu, select 'Domain Setup.' This action will open a new page containing step-by-step instructions on how to set up your domain for your website.

Using your own existing domain

If you already have a domain, the Domain Setup page will walk you through a few simple steps to seamlessly integrate it with your website. This process typically takes around 10 minutes to complete, and afterwards, it may take a few hours for your domain to become fully active on your website.

I don't have a domain

We can assist you in getting a global domain like .com, .net, .org domain. We are not able to assist you in getting local domains such as .co.uk, .us and .ie as there are restrictions. You can, of course, buy a local domain yourself and set it up with your DIY Website.
